Overnight Boarding
We care for your dog on an individual basis to ensure comfort and to give you the peace of mind knowing your dog is well cared for while you travel.
Remember to book ahead to ensure that your dog has a spot to stay! We have a new online form for quick, easy booking! Thinking of boarding with us? Come visit and bring your dog! Meet Melanie and see where your dog will stay while you travel. A meet and greet before your dog's stay is not required to board with us but most owners prefer to visit beforehand. |
Each kennel is 5 feet wide, 4 feet deep and 4 feet high. They can comfortably fit two large breed dogs (i.e.German Shepherds). Only dogs from the same household can occupy the same kennel by request.

Feeding: Your dog should come with their regular dog food in a sealed, labelled container to minimize chances of belly upset. Food allergies, dry kibble and raw diets are welcomed. If you decide not to bring your own dog food or forget, you will be charged $5.00+tax/day for dog food.
Medication: Any medications are no problem. This includes oral and topical creams, pills and needles.
Exercise: The dogs are exercised in the communal outdoor run. First check in the morning is between 7 & 8am. Then they are out late morning, after lunch, mid afternoon, suppertime and final check is between 9 & 10pm. During good weather, the dogs also go for leashed walks. If your dog is fortunate enough to be here on daycare days, they will go out to play with the daycare dogs unless otherwise requested or required.
Safety: The fences are all 6 foot high, heavy gauge chain link fences. Dogs with behaviour problems are welcome as we are very experienced with dogs that have issues. They are required to have a visit prior to their stay. The facilities are regularly cleaned and sanitized to prevent the spread of flu, bacteria, parasites and viruses between dogs. We use Prevail which is a broad spectrum sanitizer, fungicidal, bactericidal, virucidal and tuberculocidal. It is a non-toxic, non-irritating disinfectant cleaner used commonly in animal shelters and veterinary clinics to help prevent the spread of disease.
Comfort: The kennel has air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter to maintain a comfortable temperature all year round. The kennels are each lined with rubber mats that stay cool in the summer and hold warmth in the winter. Blankets and/or cots are provided to dog who do not arrive with beds. Water is available at all times unless otherwise requested or required. Treats balls, puzzles, peanut butter Kongs and toys are provided to dogs who are allowed and accustomed to using them. We also use Adaptil Calm Home Diffuser to help make your dog feel relaxed and provide a strong sense of security and comfort during a typically stressful time.
Nail Trimming: If your dog is boarding here on a Monday, they will get their nails trimmed at no extra cost. You can also request nail trimming other days at an additional cost.
Training: We also do Board & Train. We have reduced rates for rescues and shelters who would like rescue dogs trained to help with their adoptability. Training can include anything from basic obedience skills to pass the CKC Canine Good Neighbour Test to dogs who require extensive behaviour modification. These dogs would be recommended to stay for minimum 2 months (60 days) and you are encouraged to take classes in addition. Contact for pricing, timelines and additional information.
