manners Classes

Start your dog off on the right paw with classes for puppies up to adult dogs who need Basic classes or brushing up in Advanced classes.

The list of classes below are taught as private or semi-private classes. Teach your dog appropriate behaviour that will make them a reliable, well-mannered pet for years to come!!

Basic Manners

 - Ages: 8 weeks plus

 - 10-12 weeks of classes

 - $50/weekly hour lesson
Class Description:
A manners class with all the basics to teach your dog appropriate behaviour in public and around the house. Recommend booking 10-12 weeks to learn these behaviours. Cues taught in the class include:
  • sit
  • down
  • name
  • recalls (come when called)
  • focus exercises
  • stay
  • leave it
  • loose leash walking
  • any tricks you choose
Other things taught in the class include: reading canine body language, proper socialization, handling for vet care including toe trims, ear cleanings, and teeth checks. Discussing crate training, house training, jumping, chewing and mouthing on an as needed basis.

Advanced Manners

 - All ages

 - classes til goals are met

 - $50/weekly hour lesson
Class Description:
All cues taught in Basic Manners but working on proofing fluent behaviours in distracting environments and situations. Dog must be fluent before working in this class.

Goals for this class would be: passing the CKC Canine Good Neighbour test  or becoming a therapy dog with St. John Ambulance to visit schools and senior care facilities. Or maybe simply to have a well trained pet dog.
***NO AVERSIVE EQUIPMENT IS PERMITTED ON SITE***
This includes, but is not limited to: electronic collars (shock/vibration), choke chains and prong collars. NO EXCEPTIONS FOR ANY REASON.

Cancellation Policy: 48 hours notice of cancellation of private sessions. Payment in full is expected if the appointment is missed or not properly cancelled.
